Ustick Road Overpass closes Tuesday, June 1 for demolition
Beginning Tuesday, June 1, ITD will close the Ustick Road Overpass to begin bridge demolition. Overnight single-lane closures on I-84 will be in place.

On June 4, I-84 between Karcher/Midland Boulevard (Exit 33) in Nampa and Franklin Road (Exit 29) in Caldwell will be closed (10 p.m. to 7 a.m.) to allow crews to demolish part of the Ustick Road Overpass. Click here for a detour map.

Ustick Road Overpass will remain closed until the project is completed. Replacing the overpass will allow additional lanes to be built on I-84.
What to expect during construction:

  • Business access will remain open during normal business hours.

  • Work may be noisy at night.

  • Occasional I-84 detours will occur for bridge demolition and girder placement.

  • Aviation Way will be closed until September 2021.

  • Construction work may cause dust and debris
The Ustick Road Overpass is a part of the improvements ITD is constructing on I-84 between Caldwell and Nampa.
AVIATION WAY CLOSURE - JUNE to SEPTEMBER

Aviation Way at the intersection of Ustick Road will also close starting Tuesday, June 1.

The closure will allow the contractor to build up the new roadway for the bridge. The intersection will remain closed until September 2021.
CITY OF CALDWELL PROJECT - USTICK ROAD

The City of Caldwell has a separate project planned in 2022 to widen Ustick Road from Lake Avenue to the overpass. Initial waterline work will begin this summer.
