2nd Annual Honoring the Brave Breakfast

Thank you to everyone who attended our 2nd Annual Honoring the Brave Breakfast!  We hope you  appreciated hearing Kristen Christy's powerful message and the impact of the Peak Military Care Network (PMCN) within our community . PMCN raised nearly $95,000.00 through the 2nd Annual Honoring the Brave Breakfast fundraising event in the form of corporate sponsorships and individual donations! Everything raised at this event will go directly towards PMCN's mission to connect service members, veterans and their families to essential resources.

Thank you for your support!!
PMCN and United Health Foundation Donate Deployment Dolls to Fort Carson Families

Peak Military Care Network (PMCN), with the help of United Health Foundation, donated over 300 deployment dolls to Fort Carson families of the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 10th Field Hospital, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, 4th Sustainment Brigade and 10th Special Forces Group on December 6th.

Fort Carson currently has multiple units deployed. While the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team has just returned, the 4th Infantry Headquarters is the most recent unit to deploy. Fort Carson Soldiers and families face one of the busiest deployment rotations in the Army. PMCN and United Health Foundation are donating these deployment dolls to help the Soldier's children have a special memento while they are away. Deployments are never easy on the family, but with the holidays upon us, they can be even harder.

"The Peak Military Care Network is happy to do what we can to support Soldiers and families who sacrifice so much in support of us and our nation, especially during the holidays," said Kate Hatten, President/CEO of PMCN.
Bear McConnell and Steve Dant accepting their PMCN Champions Awards
2018 PMCN Champions

PMCN would like to recognize our 2018 PMCN Champion Award recipients, Bear McConnell and Steve Dant.

Bear McConnell is a "legacy" member of the PMCN Board of Directors, having served on the National Homeland Defense Foundation board and participated in the transition from NHDF to PMCN. He has been a champion of PMCN for more than 5 years. He is a US Naval Academy graduate who served as an Air Force pilot and as a member of the Senior Executive Service. As a PMCN board member, he has been a strong advocate for our mission and has helped increase PMCN's capacity to meet needs. He is retiring from the PMCN board at the end of this year and we wish him the best.

Steve Dant is PMCN's Board Chair, having taken the reigns as PMCN increased the workload of both staff and board members significantly this year. Despite his full time job as Vice President/General Manager of Fox21/SOCOCW, Steve has led PMCN board meetings, committee meetings and guided PMCN's expanded fundraising efforts, as well as helped PMCN share our story with the support of Fox21. As an Army Vietnam combat veteran, he understands the challenges faced by service members, veterans and their families and is committed to helping ensure that we, as a region, remain dedicated to helping our military and veteran community. He will stay on as PMCN board Chair for 2019 and has dedicated his time and expertise to furthering PMCN's mission.
