Thank You Maura Shenker and Temple SBDC!
On Tuesday, April 14, our Town Hall presentation on How to Navigate Small Business Loans during the COVID-19 Pandemic gave attendees a chance to ask questions and be guided through the process of applying for the Payroll Protection Program and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) by Maura Shenker, Director of Temple University's Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
Thank you, Ms. Shenker, for explaining the programs so thoroughly! We had over 100 business owners and members register for the event. As of Thursday both SBA programs are no longer accepting new applications. We are grateful to have partnered with Temple SBDC, and plan to offer more town halls in the future. We also encourage our members to reach out and get answers during their daily zoom one-on-one consultations.
Offered every third week with April 28th 12:00-1:00 PM
Temple University's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is part of the network of Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers (SBDC), which are the only statewide, nationally accredited program that provides high quality one-on-one consulting, training and information resources to empower new and existing businesses.

The
U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, with founding partner Vistaprint, has launched the
Save Small Business Fund, a grant program to provide assistance to small business owners impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Funded by contributions from corporate and philanthropic partners, the Foundation will distribute $5,000 grants to small employers in economically vulnerable communities in the United States and its territories. To see if your business location qualifies, visit the fund's webpage. Areas included in the criteria include Bridgeport and Norristown.
Grant applications open on April 20, 2020. To qualify, applicants must employ between three and 20 people, be located in an economically vulnerable community, and have been harmed financially by the COVID-19 pandemic.
