Walking through my house in December is like a travel log of the places I've been and the people who have passed through my life. Their footsteps have left an indelible mark.
Christmas is the perfect time to reflect on where we have been, where we are, and where we hope to be in the New Year. It is a time for past remembrances and future aspirations. Whatever circuitous paths may have brought us to our current place in life, 2020 will provide new pages in our book. Now, they are blank. How will you write on them?
The mesmerizing lights on a Christmas tree provide a time for quiet meditation on life. I enjoy staring at the glow, red wine in hand, and being thankful for the opportunity to once again share the December season with my family and friends. It is my time to reconnect with them, to gather strength from them for the New Year.
My job affords me the opportunity to add new people to my list of friends. I am thankful for each of you. Every new person I meet changes my world just a bit. You enrich my life.
I wish you a wonderful holiday season as the world prepares to celebrate the birth of the Christ child. Whether that is your reason for celebrating the season or not, you must agree that a feeling of peace descends on the world each December. I wish that peace for you, and may it extend into the New Year.
The Bryson Broadcasting International newsletter will return 15 January.
Merry Christmas and here's to a wonderful New Year filled with joy, happiness and prosperity.
