Life Goes On
Today, April 17 features a number of observances...so get to it...only a few hours left...although you may want to save some of these observances for tomorrow and make them two-day fests.
It is Haiku Poetry Day, and if I had more energy, I'd write something in Haiku. But I don't, so I won't.
It is Blah, Blah, Blah Day, in honor of casual conversation. Although, if you are stuck indoors with someone who keeps saying the same thing over and over again, you may want to point out that this is also "Day of Silence."
It is Ford Mustang Day...I had a 78 Mustang once. It was a lemon...and if you can't say something good about something, better to keep to your Day of Silence.
It is Cheeseball Day, Kickball Day, and Bat Appreciation Day... as in the flying kind of bat, not the baseball kind of bat.
It is also World Hemophiliac Day, a time to remember approximately half a million people around the world who get a normal cut and it can turn into a life and death situation for them.
Oh, it's also "Nothing Like a Dame Day," as in those actresses who spice up our lives with their bold performances. As the website says, those "smiling through the pain ladies of theater." Maybe you can celebrate by catching a movie or a musical tonight on your TV or internet.
