This week Washington's Governor Jay Inslee and State Superintendent Chris Reykdal announced that school buildings will remain closed through the end of the school year. As educators and parents, there is grief for seniors who will end their high school careers from home and for all students who are making sense of distance learning . We stand with educators during this difficult time.

2020 WATAC Spring Conference
 
May 3, 2020
 
Register for the virtual WATAC Conference on May 3. This free conference will feature panels of students, parents and educators talking about navigating education in a COVID-19 world. The 2020 Teacher of the Year and special education teacher, Amy Campbell, will keynote this conference.

The first 100 educators to register will have their clock hour fee waived.
 


Leadership Lab

We are excited to host two free virtual Leadership Labs on May 7 focused on the learning and reflections of educators from two school districts that have experienced teacher residencies with Dr. Adeyemi Stembridge, a culturally responsive teacher and researcher. From 9 am to noon, join the Leadership Lab featuring elementary educators from the Clover Park School District. From 1 – 4 pm, join the Leadership Lab featuring K-12 educators from Vancouver Public Schools.
 
Inclusionary Practices - Virtual Demo Sites

April 22-24, 2020

These online learning sessions will be feature four different schools that are implementing inclusionary practices. Staff from each school will present and participants will be able to engage in Q&A. Register for one or more below.
