SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2018

featureDOUBLE FEATURE TOPIC -
Family-Centered Practices and Substance Exposed Infants

Our Sept/Oct two-part Talks on Tuesday (ToT) featured information about family-centered practices and substance exposed infants. Our presenters encouraged us to think about substance use disorders as brain-based disorders to help us reflect on our own biases and judgments. While reviewing the effects of various substances on the neonate and potential eligibility for early intervention services, the early intervention process, tips, and strategies were discussed.

Talks on Tuesdays (ToTs) are one-hour webinars designed to provide free online training opportunities related to important topics in early intervention. Topics chosen for the Talks on Tuesdays webinar series are based on feedback from EI practitioners about what they need to know more about! ToTs are held on the first Tuesday of the month from 12:00-1:00PM.
