Gifts That Matter Most - Beau Rivers Preaching
With the approach of the winter holidays we begin to contemplate how we might honor and celebrate the ones we hold dear. Media outlets inundate us with wonderful gift ideas that tempt our wallets with the promise of happiness. The seduction of consumerism is so great it often leads to the depletion of our financial resources. This service will explore the essence of gift giving and the true meaning of happiness.
CANDIDATE FOR MINISTRY WORKING WITH REV. BEV
Many of you have already met Beau Rivers but some of you have missed the official introduction. Here is what Rev. Bev said from the pulpit in October, “I am happy to welcome to this pulpit today my colleague Beau Rivers. Beau will be working here with me this year while she waits for her appointment to see the Ministerial Fellowship Committee.”

In addition to preaching and participating in worship in other ways, Beau has also been part of the Membership Engagement Team and Program Committee meetings. She also participated in the Interfaith Thanksgiving Service with Rev. Bev and will be attending the Interfaith Clergy Group meetings starting in January. Beau intends to offer some Adult Education opportunities – stay tuned for more information about content and timing. Beau comes to us with experience at a small congregation in Weymouth MA as well as Field Education and Internship experiences in Northborough and Worcester. Please welcome Beau to our congregation.
WESTBOROUGH INTERFAITH GIVING TREE PROGRAM
The annual Giving Tree program is underway! This long-standing program provides gifts to children in need in our local community during the holiday season. You'll find the tree adorned with gift tags in the Chapel after Sunday service. There will be helpers on hand to help you fill out the tags. Gifts should be wrapped, labeled with the original tag, and returned on Sunday, December 9 by 10:30 am. If you have any questions, contact Jen Tolman at 508-735-3239 or jent11@yahoo.com. Thank you!

Seasonal Reminder - UUCSW Contributions
The end of the calendar year is an excellent time to review where you are in terms of contributions towards your annual pledge. Please take a few moments to review your pledge status. You can do this online in Realm by selecting the "giving" menu item in your profile. If you prefer, please get in touch with me directly and I will provide you with your status.

If you have not made a contribution yet, please consider doing so before the end of the year. Contributions can be mailed to UUCSW, Box 544, Westborough, MA 01581.

For those of you who have fulfilled your pledge, please consider an additional donation this year, keeping in mind the deficit budget we face for this fiscal year.

Thank you for your part in support of the good works of the UUCSW.
