September Maintenance Guidelines
After years of working in the industry and building a nursery business around Oklahoma's inclement weather, we are suggesting the following maintenance guidelines:
* Get flower beds ready for fall plantings of mums, pansies, and kale.
* Plant your container and evergreen trees.
* Select your deciduous B & B (ball and burlap) trees for fall/winter planting.
* Apply the last nitrogen fertilizer application of the year (prior to September 15) on warm-season grasses.
* Apply ferti-lome F-STOP
for brown patch disease for fescue grass.
* Seed bluegrass, fescue, or ryegrass as needed in shady areas in late-September through mid-October.
