A Message From the Mayor

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The holidays are a time of great excitement for our community. A time to share in the joy of the season with family and friends and celebrate the coming year with hope and enthusiasm. This year, in addition to our Christmas Tree Lighting and Celebration, we hosted the Village’s very first Hanukkah Menorah Lighting at Village Hall. What a wonderful start to the Holiday Season! Our Village staff has been hard at work spreading Christmas and Hanukkah cheer and I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work alongside such dedicated men and women.

The holidays also give us an opportunity to be thankful for what we have and support those who are less fortunate. This season, let’s all reach out a little further to those around us and lend a helping in to those who may be in need. I hope to see you at the much-anticipated Palmetto Bay Holiday Boat Parade on December 15 th . Canned food items will be collected at the starting point at Coral Reef Park and along the route. For more information on this resident organized event, email Jeri Allen at jallen5320@aol.com .

I am excited for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. As your new Mayor, I am committed to creating a resident-driven government that is inclusive, responsive and respectful. Change can be difficult but I know that together we can continue a tradition of pride and unity that Palmetto Bay is known for and make it an even better place to live, work, learn and play.
Wishing all peace, joy and love this holiday season and throughout the New Year!

Warm regards,
Karyn Cunningham
