The Tiger Post
Your Weekly Community Brief from Tangelo Park Elementary School
Together We Achieve the Extraordinary!

Monday, December 10, 2018

This past week, our students have been working on their middle of the year i-Ready assessments. These assessments track each student's progress in Reading and Math. We are encouraging all of our students to show what they have learned on these assessments with a school-wide theme of Go Green! By Going Green, we are showing that we want all of our Tigers to be on grade-level in Reading and Math. (i-Ready testing will continue through Thursday, December 20th.)

We saw an increase of over 300% in library book circulations in the month of November in comparison to October! This means our students are checking out more library books. Please continue discussing these books with your children at home and encourage them to take Accelerated Reader quizzes when they finish each library book.

Please join us for a fun evening at our Magical Winter Program in the cafeteria on Tuesday, December 18th. This event will begin at 5:30 p.m. There will be family activities, performances, and light refreshments.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Lakeitha Black
