Complying with Buy American Act (BAA) and Trade Agreements Acts (TAA) Part 1 of 2 (BAA)

The Buy American Act (BAA) and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) , which includes a “Buy American” provision are often confused as they are quite similar. However there are key differences. Either one may be a requirement or advantage when bidding on government projects or government funded projects. The attached table compares the two.
