COVID-19 UPDATE
Curfew Goes Into Effect Tonight
Mayor Raúl Valdés-Fauli has issued a Curfew Order between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., until further notice. To view the City of Coral Gables Curfew Order, click here.

Federal COVID-19 Stimulus Package Approved!
On Friday, March 27, 2020, the President of the United States approved the “Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act" or the CARES Act, a historic $2 Trillion emergency relief stimulus bill to respond to the Coronavirus (CODIV-19) pandemic. This stimulus package represents the largest emergency package in U.S. history. It includes direct payment for millions of Americans, emergency loans for businesses, hospitals support, airline and airport support, state and local government assistance, funding for food assistance and unemployment benefits. The bill is divided into five major sections including a description of the direct appropriations. These sections are: (1) Keeping American Workers Paid and Employed; (2) Assistance for American Workers, Families, and Businesses; (3) Supporting America’s Health Care System in the Fight Against the Coronavirus; (4) Economic Stabilization and Assistance to Severely Distressed Sectors of the United States Economy; and (5) Coronavirus Relief Fund. The City will provide a summary of the bill early next week highlighting specific sections of interest to our community.   

Guidelines for Construction Job Sites
The City of Coral Gables has issued new guidelines for construction job sites remaining operational during the COVID-19 crisis. To view the guidelines, click here.  

Property & Income Tax Extension
The Florida Department of Revenue has issued an emergency order extending the usual real estate property tax deadline from March 31 to April 15. For details, please click here .

The Internal Revenue Service has announced that the deadline to file and pay federal income taxes has been postponed until July 15, 2020. This relief applies to all individual returns, trusts, and corporations. For more information, click here .
