HIGH TECH TALK LEADS FUTURE OF TRANSPORTATION SUMMIT OF 2018
Photo: Keynote Speaker, Allie Kelly, Executive Director of The Ray, speaks about solar-paved highways at the Future of Transportation Summit at the Clermont City Center on October 12.

Transportation officials and private industry experts traveled to Lake County from as far away as London to present at the Future of Transportation Summit on October 12.

CFX partnered with TEAMFL, Lake County and the City of Clermont to organize the event under the leadership of CFX Board Member and Lake County Commissioner Sean Parks.

The summit highlighted innovative technologies that may one day change how communities design and build transportation infrastructure.

CFX is currently looking at ways some of these technologies could be incorporated into system expansion projects as part of our ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability.
CFX LEADS IN TOLLING INTEROPERABILITY
E-PASS Xtra , works everywhere E-ZPass and E-PASS is accepted, including all Florida roads.

CFX Executive Director Laura Kelley identified customer service as the primary driver for seeking broader U.S. interoperability during a panel discussion at TEAMFL's Quarterly Meeting in Tampa on November 2.

CFX was the first agency in Florida to recognize E-ZPass transponders as a form of payment on tolled roads in Metro Orlando.
E-ZPass is the toll transponder used in the eastern United States from North Carolina to Maine and West to Illinois.

CFX also launched E-PASS Xtra , a transponder that works everywhere E-ZPass and E-PASS is accepted, including all Florida roads.

The new E-PASS Xtra is only available through E-PASS and offers 18 state toll travel with one account, plus all the features of E-PASS, including toll discounts on CFX expressways and auto-pay at Orlando International Airport parking facilities. The cost is $18.50 plus tax. Get your E-PASS Xtra today .
YOUR TOLL DOLLARS AT WORK: NEWLY ALIGNED ROUSE ROAD RAMP OPENS
Crews spent the past year realigning and improving the ramp to create a smoother transition for drivers traveling onto westbound SR 408 from Rouse Road.
The newly aligned Rouse Road ramp to westbound SR 408 is now open. The ramp creates a smoother transition for drivers traveling onto westbound SR 408 from Rouse Road. This is all part of the $76 million project to widen SR 408 from SR 417 to just east of Alafaya Trail that is expected to be complete in late 2019.
