SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE
Monday, December 17

Is something keeping you from experiencing the full joy of Christmas? Perhaps the loss of a loved one, a job, or some other life-changing situation? On December 17 at 6:30 pm we will offer a service to help those grieving a loss in their lives move from sorrow to hope and received God's comfort and grace.
SR. HIGH YOUTH
Sunday nights, 6:00-8:00 pm
Youth Room
All 9th-12th grade students are welcome to join us on Tuesday's for pizza, music games and Bible study. No charge for this event.

ADULT EDUCATION

NO Adult Education Sunday Dec. 23 or 30
A review of the many theories regarding the Star of Bethlehem. The class will explore the biblical and cultural background, as well as examine astronomical research to determine if it was a star, a comet, a conjunction or a miracle. Who were the "wise men" and where did they come from? Why is this story only recorded in the Gospel of Matthew? What is its significance for us today? Jim Waddell will be leading this class for three weeks.

Each morning you will receive an email which includes an opening prayer, daily Bible reading, closing prayer and digging deeper section, all accompanied by beautiful pictures and artwork what tie the reading together in a very meaningful way. BOTTLE BLOWERS NEEDED
Thursdays at 5:45 pm, Sanctuary
We are looking for additional members of this very special group (no auditions required). Rehearsals will be at 5:45 pm on Thursdays. We will be playing for our annual performance at the SOTH Talent Show on February 8, 2019. For more information, contact Lloyd Tarr.
WinGS ANGEL TREE
Gifts Due Back December 10
Good news...all the angels tags have been taken from the tree! Thank you all so much for purchasing gifts and sharing your Christmas with those children less fortunate. When you return your gift, please mark your name off the sheet. Gifts need to be returned to the Narthex by December 10.
RECYCLING
Bring your newspaper, cardboard, and soft cover books for recycling. Tell your family and friends. The bins are located in the lower parking area off of Fountain Hills Blvd.
WOW FOR KIDS!
Wednesdays, 5:00-6:30 pm, Fellowship Hall
We offer our Word on Wednesday program for children ages 3 years through 8th grade! The kids have an awesome time singing songs, eating dinner together, learning Bible stories, creating crafts, and just plain having fun. So kids, grab your friends and come have fun experiencing God's love through friendships. There is no cost for this program.

FOOD DRIVE
EXTENDED HANDS FOOD BANK
Extended Hands Food Bank in Fountain Hills supports over 1,000 men, women and children in our town. They are in need of items such as soups, peanut butter, jelly, vegetables, spaghetti, tuna, main dish meals, etc. We need your help...please bring your items on Sunday to the Narthex or during the week to the church office. 
SECOND SUNDAY SOCIAL

The Second Sunday Social/Carol Sing will be on Sunday, December 9 at the home of Elaine & Lloyd Tarr. The events starts at 4:30 pm and everyone is invited to bring a friend and an appetizer or dessert to share.

MEN'S BIBLE STUDY

PRAYER CARDS are available in the pew backs. You may place your prayer requests in the prayer boxes located on the Usher's table, in the Narthex, and outside in the prayer box on the circle drive.
