National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) Condemns Violence Against Police Officers

Alexandria, VA. - September 18, 2020 The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) is grieved by the recent violence against law enforcement officers across the country, including the shooting of two Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies and the attempted shooting of two Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers. Additionally, we were just made aware of the tragic June shooting of two Tulsa Police Department officers, leaving one dead.

"These courageous officers were simply doing their jobs in answering the call to protect and serve...when they were senselessly attacked. These unfortunate incidents reinforce the need to address the ongoing gun violence that plagues our communities. NOBLE remains committed to reducing gun violence in our communities by pushing legislation and advocating for new gun laws," said NOBLE National President Lynda R. Williams.

We condemn any type of violence toward the selfless brave men and women who serve as guardians in our communities. These shootings are unacceptable and horrifying and the perpetrators must be brought to justice. "Everyone in our community has a right to be safe and everyone deserves justice. Black, white, brown and blue; these officers deserve justice, as well." said Williams. Our thoughts and prayers remain with our law enforcement brethren who continually put their lives on the line, daily.
