Girls Inc. Awarded GSK IMPACT Award
GSK today honored 10 local nonprofits that offer youth mentoring, housing, legal aid, education and other critical services that help foster a healthier Philadelphia region.
The 10 winners of the GSK IMPACT Awards each will receive $40,000 to help further their efforts to improve health in a region where GSK has had roots for some 180 years. The organizations were recognized in a ceremony at GSK’s Navy Yard site where the 23 rd annual IMPACT Awards were announced.  Read more here.
#GirlsToo Advocacy Summit
On November 9, we hosted our first annual Advocacy Summit! Over 150 girls in grades 5-12 came together to become anti-bullying advocates, learn about healthy relationships, and stand up to violence & harassment. WICT Philly Gives Back
This week, Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) of Greater Philadelphia held their annual  WICT Philly Gives Back  event benefiting our organization. Thank you, WICT for your incredible partnership and your commitment to our girls!
Educational Improvement Tax Credit
Pennsylvania businesses contributing to qualified educational improvement organizations may be eligible to receive tax credits . Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey is a qualified Educational Improvement Organization (EIO), providing innovative educational programs in conjunction with, public schools.

Women's Adventure Travels
We are happy to announce our recent partnership with  Women's Adventure Travels (WAT) . WAT's mission is to celebrate women and to inspire them to empower themselves and those around them through travel. When a member of our community books a trip with WAT (Women's Adventure Travels), WAT gives 5% of that trip's profits back to the visited community, of that specific country or city visited, as per always. Also, WAT will give an additional 5% of the trip's profits back to our chapter and community here as well.
