Calling all ballers who aren't playing on a school basketball team but love to hoop! AAO Fall Impact League season is here. Students can play competitive ball and can form their own team or be placed on a team. There are no practices, just fun and games! Click
Please note that we will be following an activity bell schedule Fri., Dec. 7 to accommodate time for the Winter Wonderland Variety Show hosted Blue Crew.
Have you ordered a copy of the national award-winning Woodland yearbook? Also, if you are interested in purchasing an ad in the yearbook, do it sooner than later because they tend to sell out fast, and there is limited space! You can order the yearbook and ad at yearbookforever.com.
Below is the Semester Finals Testing Schedule. Testing will be Dec. 17, 18, and 19. If you are checking out your student after their 7th period final on Dec. 19, you will need to get the permission slip at the bottom of the schedule signed and returned to their 7th period teacher.
The signup below has been created by PTO to assist the counselors with filling needs for Woodland students during the holiday break. Please have a look and see how you might help some of our students-in-need.
If you prefer not to shop, we are seeking monetary donations to purchase gift cards for hard to fit items like jeans and shoes. Scroll to the bottom of the sign-up for these slots. These can be left in the Woodland office for the counselors at any time. Purchasing gift cards with monetary donations allows our students to make size and style choices for themselves.
This year we are supporting 31 Woodland students. The students have asked for some specific basic needs items and a few extras to have during the holiday.
The counselors would like to have items in the Woodland office (unwrapped) no later than December 10th to give them time to organize items before student pickup on the 13th and 14th. If you select an angel's wish list, please mark your items with the angel's number when you drop them off. If you have questions, please let us know. Our contact information is below. National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is sponsoring a toy drive for Arkansas Children's Hospital and a toiletries drive for the VA Hospital. Students may bring in new toys and small size toiletries to their advisory classes through Fri., Dec. 14. The two advisory classess with the most items donated will receive hot chocolate and donut parties! Students can keep track of their advisory's progress by checking out the giant candy cane at the W in the front of the school!
Free Tutoring Available
Woodland will be offering free tutoring Mondays and Thursdays before school from 7:30-8:15 and after school from 3:45-4:30.
While transportation will not be provided, snacks will be available and free admission to HOME basketballgames on dates that tutoring is available. For more information, please contact Andrew Glade at 479-445-1286 or
