The Woodman and Pine Tree Pop-up Present the 4th Annual Holiday Artisan Faire
From Now until December 23rd
Thom Hindle Gallery, 15 Summer Street, Dover
Presented by the Woodman Museum and Pine Tree Pop-up, the show features a curated selection of handcrafted work by forty New England-based fine artists and craftsmen, representing a diverse range of mediums with styles ranging from traditional to contemporary. The Artisan Faire will be each Friday, Saturday and Sunday until December 23 (10:30-4:30pm). The opening night (Nov. 23, 5-7pm) will feature drinks and light refreshments. Additionally, every Saturday will feature an artist demonstration from 2-4pm. A great stop for locally made gifts!

Breakfast with "St. Nicholas"

'Tis the season for holiday fun with families! Waffle bar (plus extras with Chef Tim), activities for children including cookie decorating, and of course the visit with St. Nicholas in person. Come and learn about the tradition of St Nick. This is a fun family activity! We find that many grandparents enjoy bringing their grandchildren and parents enjoy the non-commercial way of celebrating St. Nick (aka Santa) in a safe church environment. The feast day of St Nicholas is December 6th, so this early Christmas event helps set the mood for the other preparation in celebrating the birth of Jesus toward the end of the month. Admission is $5 per person or $20 for family to help us cover our costs. There is also a small Christmas market of crafts including the popular "Santa-Cam" ornament that you can purchase for yourself or a parent who could use a few extra eyes this holiday season! Christmas is for kids of all ages so please do come and have breakfast with us!

The public is invited to drop in between 4 and 6 pm to raise a toast to the holiday season and enjoy candlelight, light refreshments and seasonal music in an 18th century atmosphere. Admission to the Holiday Open House is free although donations are welcomed. In addition, guests will be able to browse for unique gifts for children and adults in the Wentworth House gift shop. The circa 1701 Wentworth House is located on Water Street in Rollinsford, NH and is maintained by the nonprofit Association for Rollinsford Culture and History (ARCH). On Sunday, Dec. 9, award-winning journalist Jackie MacMullan returns to Lundholm Gymnasium where she'll be signing copies of her latest book - "Basketball: A Love Story" - before the UNH women's basketball team plays a game against Holy Cross. MacMullan's appearance will be part of a just-in-time-for-the-holidays doubleheader. Former UNH professor and hockey historian Steve Hardy will be signing copies of his new book - "Hockey: A Global History" - at the men's hockey game against Dartmouth College on Saturday night. Hardy will be signing from 6:30 p.m. through the first period of the game. MacMullan will sign her New York Times bestseller in the Lundholm Gymnasium lobby from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
