Expanding our work into Angkor Thom Commune
With new grants we are finally poised to expand our work and comprehensive approach to eradicating rural poverty into a new commune.

Our long term partner Texel Foundation has committed resources for women’s and community health workshops for the upcoming year. After many years of outreach, our recent surveys of the level of knowledge and understanding in our original Ampil Commune have shown a marked increase in women’s knowledge and confidence.
The WASH program in Angkor Thom Commune is getting substantial financial support from our new partner, The International Foundation of New Jersey. We have begun training the community workers to go out into the field and explain the benefits of the WASH program, keeping your family healthy with basic steps of handwashing. Our goal is to prevent open field defecation and provide as many toilets as possible.

We are also training government English teachers placed in 21 Angkor Thom schools.
CCDO UK Closing
Our UK sister organization is regretfully closing at the end of 2018. We will miss you but we are so thankful to Scott Brown and Colin Fleming for a great 4 years of fundraising. CCDO UK built 88 Latrines and 156 water wells. They were also the main sponsors of Kiri school. We wish them much success as they embark on their new professional career.
Donors
Thanks to Kathy Rocklen for her generous donation of $1,000,
her continued support is invaluable.
