FEBRUARY OESD SCHOOL OF EMBROIDERY

This month we will build skills by embroidering on terry cloth towels as well as monogramming by completing a monogrammed beach towel tote. Classes are

Thursday, February 6th or Saturday, February 8th 10 to 2 pm. Cost is $35 per month, or you may enroll for the year for $330 ($55 savings) and you will receive the the lesson even if you need to miss a month. An optional kit will be available for $27. USB stick for class folder and designs will be required. You also need an embroidery machine with a 5x7" hoop. All brands of embroidery machines are welcome but you must be knowledgeable about your machine. Taught by OESD Certified Embroidery Specialist Debbie Bean. Click here to sign up

TIP OF THE MONTH

When you need to mark up pattern pieces or trace your pattern onto thin pattern paper, try using colored pencils. They are usually softer than regular pencils, so there is less risk of tearing your paper while you trace your patterns. Be sure to keep a few colors handy for different markings or adjustments. Also, an eyeliner sharpener may create a finer point with less risk of breakage than a regular pencil sharpener.

BERNINA Creative Studio 2020

No need to come to a class. All information will be on a CD!

Sewing Machine Service will be offering subscriptions to Bernina's 2020 Creative Studio Program. The programs include:

1) Software Inspiration and Design Works

2) Embroidery Features

3) Project Lessons

4) Technique which includes quarterly lessons

covering Foot Features, Quilt Finishing and

Overlocker.

You may subscribe to all 4 programs or select only those fitting your "creative" interest. Each month you will receive a video, step-by-step instructions and any other files pertinent to the lesson. Your programs will be written to a CD and available for pick up the first of the month. It is not too late to sign up! If you sign up now, you will still receive January's CD.

Cost is $100.00 per program

PUYALLUP SEW EXPO

I've been attending the sewing expo for years and it just keeps getting bigger and better! Did you know that our expo is the largest annual gathering of sewists in the entire country? And that we have 400 vendors on site? And that people travel her from all over the country and some from Europe as well?There is much to see and many classes to attend. I highly recommend it!
