Houston, TX - Council Member Dave Martin would like to make residents aware that District E staff and  Houston Public Works are monitoring forecasts calling for substantial rainfall this Friday, December 7, and Saturday, December 8. If the storm develops as predicted, Houston Water is preparing for a pre-release of water to lower Lake Houston prior to the arrival of the storm.

Property owners should secure property along the shoreline for a potential lowering of Lake Houston up to 18 inches before the end of Wednesday, December 5. Please monitor Council Member Martin's Facebook and Twitter as the office will be reporting the lake level once lowering begins.
