FEMA Exercise Development & Design Support Opportunity
Over the past two years, the FEMA National Exercise Program (NEP) has assisted over 160 state, local, and private organizations design, conduct, and evaluate exercises. Their support, which is to the level requested/identified by you, comes with experienced staff to assist before, during, or after an exercise.

Community Outreach Preparedness Advocates Join Our Team
Eight new Preparedness Advocates have joined MCEM as on-call staff to deliver emergency preparedness trainings in their native language, insure that messages are culturally appropriate, and to be part of response efforts during future disaster operations.

New Transportation Division Road Maintenance Manager
James Turner comes to Multnomah County from
a position with Pacific Architects and Engineers supporting the National Science Foundation research objectives for the United States Antarctic Program, where he administered a team of 40 heavy equipment operators, crane operators, and blasters to assure station maintenance and world class science objectives were met.
Previous to that he has worked for the United States Air Force, and on road repairs and snow removal operations in North Carolina.
