HONOR YOUR SPORTSCASTER
HONOR YOUR SPORTSCASTER!
SPORTSGIVING

I am hopeful that this week has found you spending time with family and friends while enjoying an abundance of blessings and delicious food. All of us at the Kentucky Broadcasters Association are very thankful for each of you, our valued members who day-in and day-out go about the business of keeping your listeners and viewers informed of the happenings in and around your communities.

This week, we decided to cast the net of thanksgiving specifically on our sportscasters by asking you for the submissions of the sportscasters you would like honored. These unsung hero’s of the gridiron, hardwood and diamond, share a passion for the teams that they cover. These men and women log countless hours traveling around the state and country, enduring often unruly elements and less than favorable accommodations. Yet, when the microphone or camera goes live, they are always ready to take their listeners and viewers on a magical journey to experience the sights, sounds and feel of game day. These individuals don’t have a number on their back or appear on the teams roster, but make no mistake, they are undoubtedly “part of the team”.

As we wrap up Thanksgiving and transition into the Christmas shopping season, join us at the KBA in honoring our many sportscasters for their excellent, passionate and selfless service to broadcasting here in the Commonwealth.
