Respond to someone who objects to the “Black Lives Matter” statement, or to someone who insists that “All lives matter” is a better formula.
Listen to a Politics and Prose conversation between Ibram Kendi, author of several anti-racism books, and Edward Ball, author of Life of A Klansman, which includes alarming statistics about the number of white Americans directly or indirectly involved in the Klan (8/4/2020).

Watch the first of three parts in “Decentering Whiteness in Worship.” Think about ways that St Columba’s worship (whether online or in person) could be restructured by and with those of different races, cultures, or ages.

Barbara McGowan: Signing Off
It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the parish of St. Columba's for the last seven years. I deeply appreciate all who have lent their support to the communications department from my industrious mailing ministers and energetic interns, to my precision proofreaders and communications task force who faithfully helped steer our direction. I am very grateful for the amazing staff I have worked with and all the parishioners who have enthusiastically cheered me on over the years. Many thanks for all the wonderful heartfelt messages you have sent me ... I will cherish your memories from afar as my husband and I relocate to Florida and worship with you online. The St. Columba's communications department is in great hands, and I wish Bronwyn, Lauren, and Jamal all the best!
