As some of you are aware, Monroe County Schools is dealing with an IT outage that impacts our telephone service, computer systems, and Internet access. We are working closely with technical experts to investigate and resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
From an operational perspective, buses are running normally, and teachers are conducting classes. Sporting and other extracurricular events are proceeding. The situation does not affect our fire alarm and burglary system; our cafeterias are still processing transactions; and each school's main phone line is working.
For faculty and staff, we are preparing to process our normal payroll this week.
