Gisue Hariri is the Co-founder and Creative Principal Director of Hariri & Hariri-Architecture, a New York based multi-disciplinary architecture & design firm established in 1986 by Iranian-born Cornell-educated sisters Gisue Hariri and Mojgan Hariri.
Shiva was born and raised in an educated family in Iran. Her mom was a teacher and her dad was in the general Army. She graduated with a chemical engineering degree in Tehran. She worked in a pharmaceutical factory for two years, and taught chemistry for five years. She got married in 1997 and moved to the U.S. where she raised two children while teaching them Iranian culture and tradition. Since then, she has been assisting her husband with his construction and real estate company.
Aggie Afarinesh has more than 12 years of human resources experience and currently serves as the Manager of Human Resources at Metrolink in Los Angeles. Prior to joining Metrolink, she served as the Recruitment Manager for the City of Irvine and also worked as an Executive Recruiter with Alliance Resource Consulting, specializing in nation-wide executive search. She also serves as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Southern California, teaching professional development and career advancement to graduating students.
Dr. Shohre Mehvar is a licensed acupuncturist and the owner of Newport Wellness Group. She specializes in pain management, migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety, the acupuncture "face-lift", and has created her own weight loss protocol. It employs acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional supplements, diet and lifestyle changes using western and eastern medicine simultaneously. She received her Doctorate and Master's degree in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. She believes in the power of integrating the best of western and eastern therapies together for optimal results. As a cancer survivor, she has a passion for supporting women and men during difficult times in their lives with compassion, education and guidance. In Iran, she was a high school teacher, studied fashion design in Germany, and chose acupuncture and integrative medicine after her experience with cancer. She decided to leave pharmacy school for alternative and complementary medicine.
