N ew requirement for starting social media accounts representing the campus
The marketing and communications office has been updating the social media strategy for K-State Polytechnic and one of the new strategic initiatives is implementing a process for anyone who wants to start a social media account representing the campus.

Moving forward, if your office, degree option, club or organization would like to create a social account, including on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, or YouTube, we ask that you complete the New Social Media Account Worksheet  found here . This worksheet will help you understand what it takes to create and maintain a successful page and continuously engage with your audience. It also will provide insight as to whether creating a social account is the best platform for your desired result.

Once you have filled out the worksheet, please submit it to [email protected]. Someone from marketing and communications will review your request and then will reach out to you with recommendations. Please know that we understand your sense of urgency when creating an account, so the review process is quick. Questions? Email Julee Cobb, communications and social media specialist, at [email protected].
