Senator Stargel Set to Speak at the 64th Annual Conference's
Legislative Reception

Senator Kelli Stargel is a sixth generation Floridian who has served in the Florida Legislature since 2008. In addition to her senatorial responsibilities, she works as the investment property manager for her family-owned business in Lakeland.

Senator Stargel serves as the Chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Education. She also sits on the Appropriations Committee, the Ethics and Elections Committee, the Finance and Tax Committee, the Judiciary Committee, the Rules Committee, and the Joint Select Committee on Collective Bargaining.

Senator Stargel has received numerous awards from various organizations during her time in the Senate. Some of her more recent commendations include being awarded 2018 Legislator of the Year by The Florida Farm Bureau, Florida Fruit & Vegetables, & The Landscape Association.  Senator Stargel has also been singled out as a Florida Champion by The Associated Industries of Florida, Florida Realtors, The Florida Chamber, and The Foundation for Florida's Future. In addition, she is the recipient of the Florida Family Policy Council's William Wilberforce Award.

While Senator Stargel is extremely grateful for the opportunities and accolades, she is primarily motivated by her family.  She and her husband of 35 years, Circuit Judge John Stargel, have 5 children and 2 grandchildren that keep her busy and grounded.

Thank you,

Tom Steckler
Executive Director
