Daily Check-ins with Saint Luke's Staff
Why does Rev. Phil Brown say we need to rest?
On Monday, during the Saint Luke's daily check-in, Rev. Phil Brown emphasized the importance of rest.  Check it out ! Be on the lookout for all of our daily check-ins, occurring Monday-Friday any time between 1-3 pm!  Watch live via Instagram and Facebook, or view all of the daily check-ins here. #SaintLukesConnected

Palm Sunday Processional
As you know, this coming Sunday is Palm Sunday! Since the kids' palm-waving procession can't go up the aisle this year, we have another way for them to begin our worship time together! All you have to do is:

1.  Print out this illustration. Then, color it green with either crayon or marker, and cut it out.
2. Take a brief video of your child and/or family members waving their palms and shouting, "Hosanna in the Highest"!
3. Send your video to Erin Murray  by Friday at noon.  We will combine these videos into one glorious virtual palm parade we can share with our church family on Sunday morning.

Sunday! At-Home Virtual Communion
As part of our normal worship practice on the first Sunday of the month, and because we know that Jesus met people where they were and he continues to meet us where we are, our church family will celebrate At-Home Virtual Communion this Sunday. C lick here for more information on how we can share the Lord's Supper together, using whatever elements you may have available.

Lent Devotion:
The Struggle is Real
Little did we know when we began the season of Lent that the struggle would be what it is today. As you find yourself with time and perhaps more accurately with more need to reflect on a daily basis, we are hopeful that in preparing our hearts and minds during these days leading to Easter we will come to experience the hope and joy of the resurrection in new and powerful ways. Here are two online daily devotional options:

Lenten Devotional 1 (based on the Narrative Lectionary passages used in worship)
Lenten Devotional 2 (available as a pdf, daily email or app version)

In addition, the Saint Luke's Youth Council will be doing an Instagram devotional. Check out @slpresyouth

Family Promise  Updates
  • Family Promise guest families will be staying overnight at Saint Luke's starting Sunday, March 29, until it is safe to resume rotating between congregations. Hospitality during this time will be limited for the safety of the guests. The scheduled host congregation will supply overnight volunteers. If you would like to know how you can help, please contact Saint Luke's Family Promise coordinators Betsy King and Sydney Underhill.
Saint Luke's College Scholarship
Thanks to a generous gift from an anonymous donor, $2,500 will be awarded to a Saint Luke's high school senior who is enrolling in an accredited four-year U.S. college. For details, go to slpres.org. To view the application, click here. Application deadline is April 19, 2020.
