Hi Everyone:

Tomorrow, most folks will be sitting around the table with their families, enjoying turkey and pumpkin pie. This will be the perfect opportunity for you to look into the eyes of those that you truly love and especially all your younger relatives  and utter words that could literally change their lives -- "Start A Business."

Whether you know it or not these individuals look up to you and what's unfortunate for some of your relatives, especially your elderly relatives, this might be the last time
they will sit with you at this table.

So therefore, tell them how you really feel about them and gain some wisdom by asking questions. Again, this may be your last opportunity to hold them and tell them -- that they truly changed your life and you appreciate it. Life doesn't wait on anyone.

As most of you
break bread with your family, friends, neighbors and colleages this holiday season, ask yourself and ask them if they truly want to live -- not just to live but what kind of life they truly would like to live -- a "healthy life" or a "sickly life"?

I got a frantic call a while back from a black female that had retired from the federal government. She swore up and down that she was still under attack by the government after filing several EEOC complaints, while in the workplace.

As a former federal whistleblower, TheCathyHarrisStory.com, I know for a fact that it is highly possible because I know they still go after whistleblowers -- after they leave the workplace so why not EEOC complainants.

I asked her to explain further what was happening and she responded frantically that  she had several family members that had recently died, including children, and several others that are scheduled for surgeries at hospitals.

She said several people, even children, had cancer and it was pure devastation watching those around her either fall sick or die. And she said most of these individuals like the children were actually  young -- in their 40s and 50s. I reminded her that most folks in nursing homes today are either in their late 40s or early 50s.

She said her whole family was being wiped out -- "cleaned out" and she said she knows it's the government.  I told her to calm down and yes it's the government, but not the way she think.

I told her "The government is not coming into your relatives' homes and holding a gun up to their necks, forcing them to drink poison (not yet at least, but it's not too far-fetch that it can't happen in the future).

I told her that the government (EPA.gov, USDA.gov, and FDA.gov) has all been given permission for Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) (aka "Processed Foods") to be grown in this country and imported (shipped in) into this country.

Bayer (old name "Monsanto") now owns 90% of all seed companies in the U.S. and over 50% (probably more now like 70%) of all U.S. grown crops.

I also told her that what was happening to her family is "totally preventable."   However, there is no one  -- not schools, politicians, black churches, black farmers, etc. -- no one is educating black folks on what's really happening in this country to the food supply system.

Most people have fallen into "zombie" or "cocoon-like" states, where their brains have been rendered useless because of eating GMOs (processed foods). And this is why people no longer have the energy or tenacity to fight back on any scale.

I politely told her the same thing that I have been telling families and you guys -- my audience -- for the past 12 years as a National Non-GMO Health Speaker and Educator , "What your family is eating on a daily basis today, the GMO "Processed Foods"  are nothing but straight up POISON ."

Some of you have listened to me and others, especially on social media do nothing but laugh at me -- all the time.  And the way that poisons work -- it all depends on how much you take in and if you have a "weak" or " strong" immune system -- before any symptoms starts to show up.

Most kids are dying from GMOs because they have a "weak" immune system. So it's the kids that are being affected mostly by GMOs. Most kids under age 15 is dying of cancer and other GMO diseases because again, they have a weak, undeveloped immune system.

GMOs also changes your DNA. So if you are eating processed foods, (any foods that you buy in a package, bag, can, or some other type of container) (any foods that have been altered from their original state) especially if you are pregnant, you are passing on these SICK GENES to the next generation, which means your family members down the line will end up sick and dead from GMO foods.

Black folks are attending over 4 funerals a month and they have yet to connect the food supply system with these deaths. At 62, I am at the point in my life where all I
have the energy for is to keep filling my two daughters #BrainBank with great information on how to continue to move forward.

I have 8 members of my family left (3 sisters, 4 brothers) 8 of us total. I live in Orlando, FL and both my daughters live up north.

My Family Structure:
  1. Mickey - 56
  2. Jeffery - 57
  3. Robbie - 58
  4. Cathy - 62 (That's me)
  5. Margaret - 63
  6. Nancy - 65
  7. Lewis - 66
  8. Dysell - 75
  9. James - 76 (deceased)
My oldest brother passed about 3 years ago. When my mom died 9 years ago, my brother, Jeffery, remarked when we were at the lawyers office that since my brother, Mickey, was the youngest, he would be the last to die. You see what I have to deal with in my family -- this level of thinking?

Now I have 3 brothers that live on 32 acres in rural Georgia. My other brother still live in the area and he has 2 kids that live in the area.

My oldest sister still live in the area in Georgia and she has 6 kids and they all have children and still live in the area.  My other 2 sisters, who are older than me live up north.

So the land belongs to all 8 of us, so I can put what I want to on the land and live there also -- if I choose to do that.

This is the same land we grew up on when everything we ate came from the land, so naturally the land is okay for growing foods.

My two daughters and I, since we are the ONLY BUSINESS OWNERS in the family, have offered to come down to rural Georgia to show my sisters and brothers and their families how to grow foods again and make money.

Our goals were to buy one of the "tiny houses" and put it on the land and start a farm and name it after our family name (aka "Hudson's Farm.")

As soon as it was up and running, our goals were to get a manager, preferably a family member and return home and just use the little house as a vacation home for my daughters and I when we wanted to get away and be one with nature.

But of course we would be available by phone, video and even travel to make sure everything ran smoothly.  All my brothers, nieces and nephews are out of work so this farm would have been ideal for them to run and operate for many years to come.

We presented this idea to everyone last year in 2017 at our yearly family reunion and they said "No."  "One of my brothers responded "Growing up it was just too hard to run a farm. The work was just too hard so he rather not get involved in farming again."

It's not like my sisters or brothers would have to do the work themselves -- since they are now almost 60 and over, but their children and their children and other relatives would, but some people today are just #DownrightLazy  and #LackVision .

Now this is my brother, Jeffery, the same brother, that is currently #TotallyBlind
because of "Diabetes" and his kids live in the area and he is a grandfather of 3, and everyone -- all my family -- on the land or located in the city is sick.

Two of my brothers on the land have recently had stents put in their hearts. Stents help keep coronary arteries open and reduce the chance of a heart attack. A stent is inserted into the clogged artery with a balloon catheter. The balloon is inflated and the stent expands and locks in place. This holds the artery open and allows blood to flow more freely.

And again Jeffery is blind from "Diabetes".
My other brother, Robbie, who doesn't live on the land, but do live in the city with two kids in the area, daughter, has been on kidney dialysis since she was 20 years old. Now she is over 30 and have 3 kids of her own.

At this point if you haven't already, you will need to realize that it's time to save the people you can save in your family - (#SaveTheSavables) because not everyone want to be saved, and frankly at 62, I don't have the energy to give to people who are too 'closed-minded' to realize that they are sitting on a "Pot of Gold".

I haven't given up just yet though. This year, in 2018, at the reunion, I passed out FREE copies of my book Green Thumb At 60: How I Started My Gardening Journey With Raised Beds and Pots and Containers and showed pictures of my backyard garden and gave them the links to see first-hand how I grew foods myself in my backyard.

Now especially since I have left Texas and is living even closer to Georgia, it would be nothing for me to go there and put a dwelling on the land, but still my brothers said "No."

So for now I will continue to concentrate on my immediate family,  #MyTwoDaughters You never give up on your family, especially your #ImmediateFamily (parents and children), but at the same time you #PutYourselfFirst and #StopExhaustingWastedEnergy to #LostCauses

Small businesses are the backbone of this country, and business owners just think differently than 'average citizens' .

Business owners are leaders and visionaries, so in order to #SaveOurFamilies and others in this country, we need to continue to teach business ownership at every opportunity, especially to black communities. #TeachBusinessOwnership.

There is a great satisfaction of
being your own boss. But should
you work from home?

PROS:

1. Freedom: When you work at home you do enjoy a lot of flexibility to set your own schedule. You don't have to punch a clock.
2. Low Overhead: You don't need to spend money renting a space.
3. Control: Many entrepreneurs have children and find working at home helps them fit their kids into their working day.
4. Time: Folks who work at home save a lot of time. The commute is short because they save a bunch on gas.
5. Lifelong Gig: If you choose to work at home, you can continue working through your senior years. You might never want to retire.

CONS:

1. Lack of Discipline: You might find you miss the structure of a job. Too much freedom for some is unproductive.
2. Loneliness: Many who work "home alone" find it lonely. Feedback and camaraderie might be more up your alley.
3. Lack of Support: You'll be a one-person show calling all the shots from handling sales to playing mail room clerk. There are no typists, bookkeepers or receptionists to turn to on a daily basis.
4. No Regular Paychecks: One must have enough capital saved to make it through the often lean start-up phase.
5. No Benefits: In the U.S. healthcare is outrageously expensive. It's a shock when you explore your options.
