Update on Heating
Recently, the parish has received frequent news about the heating system in the Christian Education Wing. There is currently a temporary process in place to activate the main heating system, and maintenance continues to work towards a permanent solution.

Popcorn Theology
This popular exercise consists of participants’ submissions of theological questions into our popcorn bucket. One or more questions will be picked randomly from the bucket and addressed by not one, not two, but all three of our priests: Pat Wingo, Sara-Scott Wingo, and Christopher Hogin. A gold mine of knowledge!
No Sunday School Next Weekend // All parishioners are invited to attend the Ministry Fair. Come see all the great opportunities in our community.

Programming
November 28: Movie Night with Fresh, Free Popcorn //
The Red Balloon A 1956 French fantasy-comedy-drama written, produced and directed by Albert Lamorisse, this short film elegantly captures the adventures of a boy who befriends a seemingly sentient balloon and follows it through the streets of Paris. “…a poignant symbolization of dreams and the cruelty of those who puncture them.” (Bosley Crowther, film critic for the New York Times), the film won the 1956 Oscars for Best Writing and Best Original Screenplay and the Palme d’Or for short films at the 1956 Cannes Film Festival. (Please note: although this is a French film, there is no dialogue and no sub-titles.)
Click here to read the NY Times Critic blog on this film. It's a great overview.
Next Wednesday, December 5: “God Moments: Another Evening of Testimonials” // John 9:11, 25 “But I know this…I was blind…I went and washed, and now I see.” If we have met Christ, we have a story to tell. Testimonials are not something Episcopalians tend to routinely share, but they can provide support and encouragement to those who may not believe in, or at least need to hear of, these small miracles. Come hear 5 more of your fellow parishioners share the inspirational stories of times when God/The Holy Spirit has worked in their lives.

One of the most requested items people ask the Ascension Pantry for is diapers. If you have little ones-as the white roses on our altar so often show-you know how important that item is. If you have an extra package or two, please consider donating them to the pantry when you stop by the FISH table at the Ministry Fair on December 2. All sizes will be joyfully welcomed. Thank you.
