Art Grants for Artists and Community Organizations!
Join Council Member Cisneros and the
Houston Arts Alliance for a free arts grant writing workshop. The workshop will provide an overview of eligibility, deadlines, grant writing tips and other workshop opportunities. Individuals artists, arts organizations, community centers, and community-based organizations with arts and cultural programming are encouraged to participate.

Repairing Roofs for Elderly and Disabled
Houston's Housing and Community Development Department is still accepting applications for their
"Blue Tarp" Program which aims to repair the homes of the elderly and disabled. The program is targeting especially those houses whose roofs are in disrepair. To find out if you are eligible for this program

Houston's Homebuyer Assistance Program is Expanding!
The Housing and Community Development Department has just increased the amount of funds it has to assist new homebuyers in Houston with the help of City Council!
