Thank you for caring about global Christian leadership development. Leadership matters!
Thanksgiving E-Newsletter

In this season of Thanksgiving, we have so much to be thankful for here at Faith, Hope, and Love Global Ministries. Once again, God's blessing of our ministries in Myanmar exceeded our expectations in many ways. As you scroll through the series of photos that tell the story of this fall in Myanmar, please join us in praising and thanking God for all the ways the Spirit is at work through classes, workshops, preaching, and spiritual coaching.
Tim preached at the New Life International Fellowship on the subject, "The Balancing Act-Or Not!" At least one woman committed her life to Christ and wants to get baptized. She had been attending baptism classes but didn't feel ready to take the next step. But when the Spirit touched her through the prayer after the sermon, she said yes to God.

93 eager students crowd into Mueller Hall each week to attend Tim's New Testament Theology course at Myanmar Institute of Theology (MIT). Each three hour session is packed full of careful Bible reading, reflection on the NT teachings, and answering the students' questions. When they learned that Tim would need to return to the USA a little earlier than usual, they agreed to meet three Saturdays in a row to get additional lectures in before he left.

Tim preached at MIT chapel on the first day of the second semester on this year's school theme, "Growing in Christ, Preparing for Service." He also handed out an essay to supplement the sermon. The response was very positive, and many students recommitted themselves to putting God first in their lives.

Up to 23 students showed up for group spiritual direction each Wednesday afternoon in October. Everyone shares how God is at work in their lives and reaches out to God with their greatest needs and desires. The Holy Spirit is always working through our times together. At least one student was healed through prayer and many experienced revitalization and needed guidance or encouragement.

Faculty from the Bible Department met for two hours of fellowship, Bible study, and prayer at the International Guest Apartment, where Tim lives on MIT campus. Everyone was greatly encouraged to press on faithfully to teach and mentor undergraduate (900+) and seminary (300+) students.
Tim was invited to give special lectures on Spirit-led Leadership at Bethany Theological Seminary (96 students) and Myanmar Mission College (30 students). Invitations to speak outside of MIT keep growing. These opportunities bring the Spirit-led leader message to more schools and future Christian leaders and fit with Faith, Hope, and Love's vision to provide Christian leadership development throughout the country.
For these and many other opportunities to teach, counsel, and minister to individuals and groups in Myanmar, we give thanks this Thanksgiving season. God is building up and encouraging so many in so many different ways through these programs and ministries. It's a real joy for all of us at Faith, Hope, and Love to part of what God is doing.

On a personal note, I'm also deeply grateful that Jill is getting stronger at last. She still has a long way to go to be able to build energy reserves and to return to her work, but we are encouraged. Her mother is still struggling in the aftermath of her cancer treatments and still needs our daily prayers. Early in January, I will be returning to resume my teaching and ministries in Myanmar. We are hoping that Jill may be able to join me for part of the winter, but we must wait before making any decisions on timing.

Thank you for your prayers and concerns for my family as well as for our ministries globally. Please continue to pray that God will guide our planning and will make this a fruitful time of preparation in anticipation of returning to Myanmar soon. Most of all, please pray that God will continue to bless all of our ministries in whatever ways best fit his good purposes for the people we serve in Myanmar and elsewhere.

In Christ's service with you,

Rev. Timothy C. Geoffrion, Ph.D., D.D.
President and Teaching Minister

CPC has once again designated Faith, Hope, and Love Global Ministries as the mission of the month in November. This means, all "mission of the month" contributions given to Christ Presbyterian Church will go to support our ministries worldwide.

For those you who attend CPC, your designated gift this November will help Christian leaders globally to become better grounded in biblical teaching and better equipped to serve as effective as Spirit-led leaders.  Thank you!

*Please make sure you put Mission of the Month on your check or envelope.
