Men, join us at Stacks Kitchen (11100 Monroe Rd. Matthews) for breakfast and a discussion on "Transition in Faith, Marriage, Military, and Your Job." Special guest speaker Kevin Tillett will lead our discussion. Kevin served in the Navy 1980-2004 and was led to the Lord through the ministry of Navy chaplains. He served as a flight coordinator for JAARS and currently serves as chaplain for disabled veterans. Please join us for fellowship with your brothers in Christ. Our annual outreach event for children ages 3 to 5th grade will be Saturday, December 8, in our Community Life Center. This event will help our families share the true meaning of Christmas in a fun and inviting way. Join us for a special story time, songs, crafts, games, face painting, balloon animals, and cookies to decorate! Everything is free! Bring your friends, family, and neighbors. HisAbilities Speaker Series:"Caring for Siblings"

HisAbilities is hosting the second meeting in our three part speaker series, "Navigating Life with Disabilities." in the Community Life Center chapel. Becky Bernier of Joni and Friends Charlotte will be speaking about caring for siblings in families affected by special needs. There will also be a panel discussion involving members of our own congregation who are siblings to someone with special needs and an opportunity for Q & A. A light breakfast and childcare will be provided. Breakfast begins at 9:30 AM. The seminar will begin at 10 AM and conclude by 11:15. Mark your calendar! We hope you can join us for The Gospel Coalition (TGC) Women's Training Network two-day intensive training hosted by Reformed Theological Seminary and Christ Covenant Church on February 1-2, 2019, at Christ Covenant Church. The cost ($65) includes lunch. The Women's Training Network is part of TGC that exists to train women to use the Bible well for the purpose of their own growth and for service to others, all for the glory of Christ. Christmas Poinsettias

Help beautify our worship center for Christmas by ordering a poinsettia "In Memory of" or "In Honor of" a loved one. Poinsettias will be displayed during December, with pick-up after the 6 PM Christmas Eve service. To order, enclose $10 per plant (checks payable to Christ Covenant Church) along with your designation in an envelope marked "Poinsettias." You may put it in the offering, bring it to the church office, or mail it to the Operations Department, Attention: Jill Joyner. Also, you can email Jill at [email protected]. We are organizing a printed member directory as a guide for congregational prayer, a convenient way to match names to faces, and an aide for communication. It will provide limited information such as your name, a recent photo, email address, preferred phone number and a list of children and their ages.
