Cereal for dinner and spaghetti for breakfast? CHEO has long made a link between the well-being of its patients and the food it offers.
Since making changes to their menu and partnering with local fresh-food growers, CHEO's patient satisfaction rate has improved significantly and the hospital is now saving $2 per day, per patient.

Climate Change Toolkit for Health Professionals
|
This recently released toolkit consists of eight modules which have been prepared as stand-alone documents that can be read by themselves, but they have also been prepared to complement one another.
The toolkit was designed as a tool for health professionals and students in the health care and public health sectors who want to engage more directly on the issue of climate change as educators with their patients, peers and communities, and/or as advocates for the policies, programs and practices needed to mitigate climate change and/or prepare for climate change in their workplaces and communities.

June 11-13, the Recycling Council of Ontario is hosting Canada's first-ever Circular Procurement Summit designed for municipalities, their provincial and federal counterparts, the public sector and their suppliers at large.
