Hosanna!
I am grateful
for the ways you are being the church, even as we are unable to gather physically together.
It was a joy
to see these photos from Karen and Fred Peter after worship last week, where we mentioned that some families are using sidewalk chalk to spread hope in their neighborhoods. Karen and Fred immediately did the same!
I am inspired
by the incredibly important work that Marian Hart and the OB Emergency Food Bank are doing in the midst of this pandemic. Here is an
update from Friday 3/27
.
And thank you for making it possible to donate $300 to Rachel's House Women's Shelter
this week, in lieu of our usual 100 sack lunches. Their good work continues, and the monetary donation you made possible will ensure that our contribution does too.
Let's stay connected,
through small group Zoom gatherings, by worshiping together online, prayer, and service to our neighbors.
Remember to bring any sort of greenery with you as you worship with us Sunday via the livestream at 10 AM
. It's Palm Sunday, and the scripture tells us that the crowd brought branches from the nearby trees to wave and to adorn Jesus' path into Jerusalem. Any greenery will do, and it will be meaningful to join together in the tradition of our faith community and so many others who wave palms or branches to remember the story of this day. Ongoing prayers for good health, and the peace of Christ.
Blessings,
Jessica
