FEATURED EVENT: High School Graduations
Congratulations to all of our newly-minted high school graduates and GED-earners! The ceremonies were touching, poignant, inspiring, and fun. Thank you to all of the families and friends who attended the graduations and cheered on your graduate(s); and also to the staff, contractors, and volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make the events happen. As 19th century English poet Arthur O'Shaughnessy said: "We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams." Best wishes, graduates! We are so proud of you! Bond Update
The busiest year of the bond is going strong! Projects continue at Brookwood, Eastwood, Mooberry, Evergreen, Poynter, Hillsboro Big Picture, Century, Liberty and Hilhi. Work has started on the new Transportation site. Mooberry kindergartners visited their modular project site on June 4 and were thrilled with demonstrations and a close-up look at the equipment. Glencoe's groundbreaking  ceremony on Wednesday, June 5, officially commemorated the start of construction on the school's upcoming additions and renovations. And other summer projects are set to begin once the school year ends. Visit  Hillsboro-Bond.org for regular updates.

Hillsboro 2035 Community Celebration
The Hillsboro 2035 Community Plan is Hillsboro's vision for a vibrant future. Join lead partners on June 11 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the annual Hillsboro 2035 Celebration, held in conjunction with the opening night of Tuesday Market in downtown Hillsboro, to learn more about their progress toward implementing identified projects. There will be family activities and prizes, and even a DeLorean on display - in keeping with this year's theme of "Back to Hillsboro's Future."

New Facility Use Fee Structure and Schedule

After nearly a year of researching and auditing our facility use system and fees, HSD has updated Board Policy KG - Community Use of District Facilities, and the policy's accompanying administrative regulations (KG-AR1, KG-AR2), to reflect a change in rental fee rates and a tiered rate structure based on the type of organization requesting the usage. The new rental fee structure and rates will take effect on September 14, 2019. Current users are being contacted directly about this change. Additional information can be found on the Use of Facilities page of our website.
