Dear Families,

Welcome to summer! We are so glad for these warm, mellow days in the sun.

If you have any suggestions for discussion topics in our Family Group, please share them with me, as well as any Adult Faith Formation suggestions concerning parenting, children and family issues you might have for the Fall.

Please read on for a few quick announcements regarding upcoming summer fun at St. Paul's!

Peace,

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We need your help! The St. Paul's Children's LemonAid Stand is scheduled to be on the Portico on Sunday, July 21 before our 10 a.m. worship and after. This is an important fundraiser that supports the Children's Hospital Network right here in RVA!

We need sweets and children and youth to staff the stand. Please let me know if you can provide a sweet treat or if you can help!

Questions? Want to volunteer? Please contact Linda!
Seeking: Storytellers and Doorkeepers for Godly Play

One of the most important things you can do for your child is to share your faith with them. Godly Play offers a wonderful opportunity to do just that.

If you were at the Shrine Mont parish retreat this past weekend, you may have gotten the chance to experience the wonderment of Godly Play firsthand. However, if  you have not had an opportunity to observe how it works, please contact me  (lwillis@stpaulsrva.org)  or check Godly Play out on YouTube

The options for being involved are limitless- once a week, once a month, an entire month, half a year - you make the choice that works for you. Thanks so much!
The 30-Minute Summer Sabbath

"Do you feel as if the summer months are swallowing your family whole? Does the loss of a predictable schedule send you into an emotional tailspin? Are you counting down the days until school starts again - not for their sake, but for yours? Do you long for Sabbath rest, but know that going off the grid for 24 hours will never fly with your family? Fear not. You are not alone. There is hope. There is the Summer Sabbath Reboot."
