Please join us for this years 7th annual Legislative Forum on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 8-9:30am at the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa (3117 Greenhill Circle, Cedar Falls). Free!

This is a great venue to have your voice heard and is offered to all CVNA members. Click here to register, priority given to CVNA members.

Getting Started With McElroy Trust

Want to learn more about the McElroy Trust?  
Attend Getting Started with the McElroy Trust on 
December 3 from noon - 1pm at the Trust office 425 Cedar Street, Suite 312, Waterloo, IA.  Free lunch provided.  No charge!

This session is open to all, but specifically designed for applicants and grant writers who haven't worked with the McElroy Trust in the past. This session is an orientation to the McElroy Trust's LOI and application process. We'll provide details about our online system, how to apply, and the goal of each question. We'll even share a few tips about what grant reviewers are looking for when you answer questions.  

If you are not able to attend on December 3, no problem. We expect to offer the session a few times per year including by webinar.

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Dubuque is seeking a full-time, bilingual Administrative Assistant in the Waterloo office. This position will provide support for the Waterloo-based staff in all departments and is responsible for managing overall office hospitality, organization and scheduling. The GrantWriting Power Hour group met a few weeks ago and wanted to share the following resources:
Gift Giving 

This holiday season, JCI Cedar Valley (Jaycees) is looking to support local youth serving nonprofits!  Hundreds of toys are donated each November and December through our "Gift of Giving" event, and the partnership formed we've with Blain's Farm and Fleet.  If your organization would like to receive an in-kind toy donation, please email Jordan Shanks before Friday, Nov. 30th.  

Please include the approx. how many toys you would need and the age range of the children you serve.

R elocating or Expanding?

Is your nonprofit in need of a new space? Are you in need of something bigger or more visible or more accessible?  Would you be interested in
