Dear MMAMTA members,
We are finally experiencing spring appropriate temperature (....at least until recently), though with some furious mother nature tragedies along with it. Our thoughts and prayers go to those affected by the recent floods and storms, unfortunately still on going.
Despite the tornado in some mid-Missouri areas, we held our annual spring luncheon on May 23 in Columbia, and discussed our 2019-2020 Calendar. We also voted to no longer have paper Handbook copies, but rather have the webmaster (me) maintain current information on our web site. Therefore, please keep checking this page,
https://www.mmamta.org/calendar.html
. PDF handbook will be made available for download after August 16, so you may print your own hard copy.
*SAVE THE DATE* for
MMAMTA Potluck Party
at Dr. Peter Miyamoto and Ayako Tsuruta's home, August 16 (Fri) at 12pm.
RSVP by August 11.
It's a great way to recruit introduce interested music teachers to our organization in a friendly setting. Hope you can join us before all the programs begin.
Speaking of programs:
MMAMTA Teachers Recital
is BACK! We are still working on the venue, but it will take place in Columbia on
January 26, 2020
- Sunday at 3pm with MMAMTA Winter Meeting following the concert. Please RSVP Ayako (me) with your repertoire, its length and personnel; we will try to keep the event under 1 hour, and scheduled on first come basis.
Wishing you a safe summer,
Ayako Tsuruta
MMAMTA President
