Council Member Cisneros to Host 1st of 4 TechConnect Fairs Today, 6/15
Learn to code, participate in engaging, interactive tech activities, and enjoy  FREE FAMILY FUN  at the first of four annual TechConnect Fairs. Near Northside Bike Route Expansion
The City welcomes your participation in a community workshop focused on proposed bicycle routes in the Near Northside area. The mobility workshop will also be looking at connections to surrounding neighborhoods. Activities will include selecting bikeway projects that are important to you and contributing to how they are designed. This is a chance to help your community improve neighborhood mobility! Food Distribution For The Needy
Greater Grace Trinity Baptist Church in partnership with the Houston Food Bank will have food distribution for the needy on the campus of the church. Pass the word on to those in need. Questions can be directed to Pastor Roy Madison at 832-725-4619.

Support Community Art
Join Fresh Arts and the Independence Heights Redevelopment Council for an info session on local resources to help support community artists and local art projects.

City of Houston Floodplain Ordinance & Chapter 19 Guidelines
The City is seeking public input on Chapter 19, which includes the City of Houston’s Floodplain Ordinance. The City adopted amendments to Chapter 19 in April 2018 and Chapter 19 will become effective on September 1, 2018. To learn about the Floodplain Ordinance, Chapter 19 Guidelines, public meetings, FAQs, and how to submit your input, click here for more information and to submit input on Chapter 19 Guidelines before June 29th.

Summer: Students Ride Free on METRO
Metro's Summer of Fun program has kicked off, meaning students kindergarten through college ride FREE with their Student METRO Q Card until September 1st. This includes rides on METRORail, local buses, and Park & Ride services. Click here to apply for your Student METRO Q Card.
