WHAT'S NEW IN PICTURE BOOKS?

From the internationally bestselling children's book creator Matthew Van Fleet comes the story of a hungry little alligator who gulps his way from one to ten. Ten touchable textures, a sturdy chomping pull tab, and a grand finale pop-up are sure to engage the youngest readers.

There's a wall in the middle of the book, and our hero--a young knight--is sure that the wall protects his side of the book from the dangers of the other side--like an angry tiger and giant rhino, and worst of all, an ogre who would gobble him up in a second! The foolish knight is certain that his side of the wall is the safe side in this clever, amusingly meta picture book by the acclaimed creator of It's Only Stanley.

In their first collaboration since the Newbery Medal- and Caldecott Honor-winning Last Stop on Market Street, Matt de la Peña and Christian Robinson deliver a poignant and timely new picture book that's sure to be an instant classic. When Carmela wakes up on her birthday, her wish has already come true--she's finally old enough to join her big brother as he does the family errands...

WHAT'S NEW IN MIDDLE GRADE?

A behind-the-scenes, comprehensive look at the #1 New York Times bestselling series. A combination travel guide, encyclopedia, and exciting fan compendium, this ultimate guidebook explores the backgrounds and histories of the many characters, places, and magic items throughout the beloved Land of Stories series.

WHAT'S NEW FOR TEENS?

"View the aftermath of 9/11 from the eyes of a Muslim teen. The story is important and real and emotional. Woven among the typical teenage experiences of the main character are the hardships faced by all Muslim people immediately after the twin towers fell - hardships that are still experienced to this day. Those experiences need to be read and felt by everyone who still cannot see beyond the hijab or the stereotypes."
