  HELPING IN UGANDA

RWF is helping children in Kampala, Uganda.

The Milele Foundation in Kampala, Uganda works with vulnerable street children, children living with disabilities, and children who don't go to school. RWF recently helped the Miele Foundation through a financial emergency. RWF's funds were used to pay for this year's school licenses which allowed the school to remain open. Additionally, the Foundation was able to buy much needed educational materials for the school.

LGBTQ Ugandans are fighting for the right to exist.
.
RWF and Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG) helped 23 people who were victims of severe violence. "They were attacked and beaten because they were gay" stated SMUG Program Director Richard Lusimbo. RWF provided funding for safe housing, food, and emergency medical care for a three month period.

MEET US AT THE  CASTRO STREET FAIR: OCT. 7

Visit the Rainbow Bus at the Castro St. Fair.

RWF's Rainbow Bus will be parked at Castro St. & 18th St. from 10 am to 6 pm. The Bus' interior lounge will be open to visitors. In 2019, the bus heads south to deliver aid to children's homes and orphanages in northern Mexico.

We will be selling our rainbow pride bracelets at the fair to raise funds to help LGBTQ refugees in Africa and the Middle East.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: OCT. 7

RWF volunteers are the best!

CUBA JOURNEY: MAY 8-18, 2019

This May RWF is returning to Cuba for our 8th annual humanitarian journey.

We will learn about Cuba's culture, history, politics, and spirituality. We will meet with Cubans who will tell us about the realities of their country. We'll visit projects that serve the Cuban people and meet with members of the LGBTQ community, politicians, artists, scientists, and leaders in many fields.

Celebrate LGBTQ Pride with us in Havana, Cuba!

We will learned about Cuban history, from its colonial past to its revolutionary present, plus how the complex historical relationship between the U.S. and Cuba remains ever-changing. During our journey you will gain insight into the struggles and hopes of the Cuban people. We will visit places such as medical clinics, programs that serve the elderly, art institutions, schools, and other historical and cultural sights.

The many highlights include participating in the LGBTQ Pride celebration in Havana.
