Dear parents and colleagues,
It is always such a pleasure to reconnect with families, students, friends and colleagues after the long Winter Break. This year, doing so online has made the experience very different, but still enjoyable.
What has dampened the experience this year is to have heard of the increased cases of COVID in our community. For all of those who are sick, my best wishes go out to you for your speedy recovery.
But my heart is especially heavy today for those in our community who have suffered actual losses in their families or among friends. I know words can’t take away the hurt that you’re feeling, nor describe how sorry we all are for each and every one of these losses. As you go through this difficult time, please remember that you are in the thoughts and prayers of this entire community, who wish you peace and comfort as you grieve.
We are not through with this pandemic yet, but each day we are getting closer. There is hope on the horizon, a vaccine for us all, but we are not safe yet. Please stay strong!
Please keep taking care, and please do not forget that this virus is as strong as ever. It spreads when we are close to one another. Now is not the time to drop our guard. Simple actions can help keep the virus out of our homes and away from our loved ones.
Please take care of yourself and your families.
Thank you,
Adrian Leece
