Shabbat Shalom!
Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you well and preparing for a sweet Shabbat.

This time is bittersweet for KHN as we gather to celebrate Rabbi Zari's many years and myriad accomplishments with our congregation, express our gratitude and k'vod, and wish her well as we each step out on our next journey. We hope that you join us at the Havdalah tomorrow night at 7pm and share your appreciation for Rabbi Zari! Zoom Meeting ID: 837 5085 6017 Password: RABBI

This weekend has two additional opportunities for members to share their perspectives and learn more about KHN:

  1. The Search Committee Congregational Survey is open through Sunday August 30th. The Search Committee concluded the Community Conversations yesterday, and the team is hoping that every congregant will share perspectives and insights through the Congregational Survey available online by clicking here.
  2. The End of Summer Meeting will be held on Sunday August 30th from 4-6pm via Zoom to share information about KHN governance and decision making processes, discuss transition change management and make time for Q&A. Let's keep the conversation going! Zoom Meeting ID: 812 2685 7555 Passcode: MEET

Finally, as I look forward to the peace of Shabbat, I am thinking about all the people fighting for their lives in Wisconsin and the Gulf. Both struggles remind me that--when we take the leap of faith to stand together in times of sorrow and strife--congregations can be essential to the work of bending the arc toward justice and securing ourselves and our neighbors.

Looking forward to seeing you all at KHN's gatherings this weekend.

Shabbat shalom, friends.
