The heat and humidity in South Florida has been less oppressive then many other parts of the country and hopefully the rest of the hurricane season will be uneventful.  Actually we have had a very lovely summer here with a slower pace and time to savor the Florida lifestyle. 

We never write about what we have not experienced so thank you readers, Tana and I had the most fun ever a while back!  We took a Palm Beach Segway Tour and loved every moment.  Read all about it and try it!  And don't forget to catch up on Real Estate Trends including BallenIsles Sales and see a timely update from Ryan Walls, General Manager, on the BallenIsles Clubhouse.

The BallenIsles Clubhouse - Member Update from Ryan Walls, General Manager

The BallenIsles Clubhouse is currently being expanded by 36,000 square feet to feature a grand redesigned entry lobby and lounge offering breathtaking views of the East Golf Course, where Jack Nicklaus won his 2nd of his 5 PGA Championship's.  

At the opening of the redesigned clubhouse, Members and guests will enjoy a refined version of Harry's Lounge, a larger Main Dining Room along with a new upscale restaurant and bar. One of the more anticipated venues for many members will be the brand new Sports Grill. The redesign also offers expansive kitchens, meeting space and several outdoor options to dine or relax with friends. Expanded card rooms for both ladies and gentlemen will allow for more players and more refined space.  
 
 
RYAN:  The clubhouse front entrance is looking great as they near completion of the 302,107 individual pavers that are being handset around the new clubhouse. It hurts my back just thinking of that and I love the travertine pattern on the terrace in this photo.
 
An immense amount of time has been placed on venue themes, atmosphere, style, food, menus and yes, names.  For instance, our new facility will have 4 dining venues and 2 kitchens. In total, that will provide us 6 venues to eat, 4 bars to drink and 3 full kitchens for us to manage. You are going to have a lot of great options. You will have at least one dining venue available 7 nights a week, including a late evening option. A la carte dining will become the norm, but we'll still have a great buffet offering available as well. Two things that are certain in my mind. First, what we begin with, we won't end with. We will start with our best laid out plans and then adjust as habits and likes are better understood from our members. Second, not everyone is going to like everything. I am hopeful that we all focus on the things we do like, and celebrate this very exciting period of time in our Club history.  Let's enjoy all the great opportunities this new facility will offer and recognize how fortunate we are.

You won't want it to end!

  • Helmet (required)

Restrictions and Guidelines:
  • Riders must be 14 years old and under 18 accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Riders should be capable of standing upright for at least 60 minutes.
  • We roll rain or shine and reserve the right to reschedule due to severe weather.
  • Cancellations must occur 48 hours prior to tour time in order to receive a refund.
  • Closed-toe flat shoes or sneakers are required. NO flip-flops, sandals, heels, etc.
  • Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the current weather conditions.
  • Do not bring large purses or handbags.
  • Bring a smile and be ready to "roll"
