First Quarter Report Cards were posted on Blackbaud this past Friday. Parent/Teacher conference appointments are now available available online. Please see the conference letter below for more information, then use the link below for online scheduling of appointments.

Senior Yearbook Photos
Many seniors have already chosen their graduation photo packets. Although it is not necessary to buy your packages yet, please return your senior's choices of photos to be used in the Yearbook - one cap and gown and one drape; as soon as possible.

Counseling & College Services
SAT School Day Test for Juniors
Saint Basil Academy will offer an SAT School day opportunity for all juniors on April 23, 2019. The cost of the SAT with Essay will be $32.25 (50% off the actual testing price). Families can register online through the SBA website. This is an opportunity for JUNIORS only. Please register for the test by Monday, February 25, 2019.
Seniors
Saint Basil Academy is excited to offer an Instant Decision Day with Immaculata University on November 27 from 9-11 AM. All interested SENIOR students should sign up in the Counseling Office for the event.
If your SENIOR student has applied to a college/university and they are requesting that first quarter grades be sent in for review, please sign up in the Counseling Department. After first quarter grades are processed, the staff will send out the reports to the requested schools.
College Visits this Week:
Our final College Visits for this fall are: Merrimack College 11/14, Rider Univ. 11/19, U.S. Naval Academy 11/20. Juniors and Seniors can sign up on Naviance to meet with admission reps from these colleges.
A/P Testing:
Please send in payments for AP testing. All students enrolled in an AP class MUST take the requisite AP test in May. The cost of each test is $94.00. Payment due date: Jan. 31, 2019. Payments can be made online through the school store or by sending in a check made payable to Saint Basil Academy.

Saint Basil Academy's Drama Club will be performing Twelve Angry Women and Me, My Selfie and I on Friday, November 16 and Saturday, November 17 @7 PM. Tickets are $10 at the door. Please consider bringing a canned good for $1 off admission (up to 2 tickets)
Mamma Mia auditions will take place on December 4 and December 6. Information packets available on the drama board. Wanted: A FEW GOOD MEN to audition. See Drama Board for singing audition practices. There will be dance practices on November 27 and 29.

Steubenville Youth Conference
The Theology department of Saint Basil Academy would like to offer its students the opportunity to attend a summer Steubenville Youth Conference, located at Saint John's University in Queens, NY. Steubenville Conferences offer youth an opportunity to join over 50,000 Catholic teens at its 25 youth conferences throughout the summer. This is an opportunity to encounter Christ in a special way among peers that share the faith. The conference includes Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, praise and worship music, and special talks given by renowned Catholic Speakers. Steubenville NY speakers include Bob "Righteous B" Lesnefsky, Chris Padgett, Emily Wilson, Father Jose Robles-Sanchez, Joel Stepanek, and music led by Josh Blakesley. WHEN: Friday, July 19, 2019 (morning departure) through Sunday, July 21, 2019 (evening arrival).
WHERE: St. John's University, Queens, NY
WHO: We invite all SBA students to come on this conference, with a limit of about 50. There will be one female chaperone for every 10 students that attend. We will offer to work in collaboration with 1-2 other Catholic schools in the area to offer their students the opportunity to attend the conference with us as one large group.
TRANSPORTATION:
We will take a charter bus to and from the conference. Once on campus, all conference events will be within walking distance on the campus.
Any student who is interested should pick up a registration form in Room 28 ASAP. Registration and deposit is due Monday, November 19.

Father-Daughter Dance: Friday, November 30
The Father-Daughter dance will be held Friday, November 30 from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM at the Townsend Room in Philadelphia. The cost is
$65 for a dad with one daughter. $90 for a dad with two daughters. Tickets i
ncludes buffet dinner, soft drinks, DJ & dancing.
Cash bar is available.
The deadline to purchase tickets is Wednesday, November 21.
New York City Bus Trip, Friday, December 14:
Seats are still available but the deadline is approaching quickly. Please consider supporting Saint Basil Academy with a relaxing ride, holiday shopping and taking in the sites of New York City. You can also purchase tickets to Radio City Music Hall to see the Christmas Spectacular.
