Marshall Area YMCA Resources
|
The YMCA facility is currently CLOSED for general use. We are pivoting our resources to best support the most pressing needs in our community. The Y is aligning with community partners to serve parents who must work.
If you are able to stay home, please stay home with your family. However, we understand that isn't always possible. It is our desire to provide a safe and reliable place for all children. Therefore the YMCA is offering School's Out Camp to anyone in need of child care services for ages 3 - 11 while school is not in session. Registration is required to plan for staffing and proper social distancing protocols, please register online on our update hub. Follow the Y's efforts during this time of need:

DEED COVID-19 UPDATE: Regarding restaurant, bar and other hospitality closures |
|
|
St. Paul -
In order to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Governor Walz announced the temporary closure of Minnesota restaurants and bars to dine-in customers as well as the closure of other places of public accommodation and amusement. This order is effective March 17th at 5:00 p.m. until March 27 at 5:00 p.m. The closures will be evaluated at the end of this 10-day period.
The Governor also issued an executive order to help ensure that workers who are not able to work as a result of COVID-19 have benefits available. Workers who are unemployed or who have hours reduced due to the COVID-19 outbreak are asked to apply for unemployment benefits online at uimn.org.
The website can accept applications Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Please apply on the website to ensure the most efficient processing of applications during this unprecedented situation.
Upon request, this information can be made available in alternate formats for people with disabilities by contacting the DEED Communications Office at 651-259-7161.

Chamber E-Connection Guidelines and Policies
Newsletter Goals and Audience
The purpose of the Chamber E-Connection newsletter is to share our members' events with
other business and community members. It is an informational newsletter and helps to promote
our member businesses and their events.
Each Friday, our newsletter is sent to over 1,500 individuals. Our separate emails are sent to
the same list, but are held especially for our Chamber events and Business After Hours.
Newsletter Policy
E-Connection events are included based on requests from the member business. The following criteria are requested by the Marshall Area Chamber for event submissions:
- Events flyers or submissions must be an actual event. We do not include sales or promotions.
- Events can be included in the E-Connection for one week free of charge,
and you have the option of adding one additional week for $20.
-
Submissions must be sent the Wednesday prior to that Friday's E-Connection to be included to [email protected]
- All event flyers are for Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce members only.
Any Chamber member businesses events can be submitted to
the Chamber website as well
