Message from our CEO
November is a month of remembrance. At Habitat Heartland we would like to express our appreciation for everyone whose efforts and sacrifices have paved the way for the work that we carry on today, creating a world we can be proud to leave to the next generation. This year we have celebrated build projects in London and Ingersoll that were made possible by partnership with countless corporations and community groups and provided homes for eligible local families. The ongoing success of our ReStores show us the support of customers, donors and volunteers in our region. Thank you for continuing to help us work toward our goal of a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live.
We Remember

On this important day we remember those who sacrificed their comfort, safety and in some cases their lives to create a brighter future for Canada.

At Habitat Heartland we would like to take a moment to reflect and give thanks. On Remembrance Day we honour the gift of freedom that comes from the efforts of brave and selfless individuals who served our country in the past and those who continue to work for this same freedom today. Please take time to reflect and remember. Every one deserves a safe and decent place to live.

LDCA Women in Construction

Habitat’s Women Build is part of a global movement that empowers women to take action against the affordable housing crisis. It involves women building, investing and advocating for a world where everyone has a decent place to live. London & District Construction Association – Women in Construction , generously supported this project with a Habitat Build Week to kick off the Women Build. Their mission is to promote women who work within the construction industry through education, mentoring, networking, and support. Striving for equality on the job site, partnering to support the Habitat Women Build was an ideal fit for this organization. Thanks to the support of generous sponsors, 28 female students from the Donald J. Smith School of Building Technology at Fanshawe College were able to join members of LDCA Women in Construction on the build site as part of their mentorship program. This group started with a fundraising goal of $10,000 and has since surpassed that goal raising over $14,000! Thank you LDCA WIC for supporting Habitat for Humanity and the Women Build. You can see photos of the LDCA WIC Build Week here .
